This project is my personal and creative interpretation of one of my favorite artists, BIBI.
In this identity rebrand, I explore her artistry and aesthetic.
Artist Overview
BIBI (비비), short for nakedbibi, is a South Korean solo singer-songwriter, rapper and producer under Feel GHood Music and 88rising. “BIBI” when pronounced quickly, sounds similar to "baby" and like babies, she wants to evoke naturalness and purity while showing her honest self.
Rather than focusing on dealing with things beautifully, BIBI focuses on beautifully sublimating sorrows and pains that are hidden from the world through freewheeling and out-of-the-box music.
DESIGN CONCEPT
For this brand design and” comeback”, the idea is to evoke a clash between light and dark, childlike play and serious, dark themes. Black is meant to represent BIBI’s more mature side while the light blue taps into her youthful playfulness. The fonts used are bold and powerful which reflect her strong presence.
The logomark consists of two circles, referencing BIBI’s iconic two dot motif under her right eye. Throughout this branding, this logomark will become dynamic and include other motifs that correspond with the theme of her first album, Lowlife Princess: Noir.

fanclub - “bibi bullets“
BIBI’s international fanbase go by “BULLETS”. While the origin of the name is unknown, I chose to incorporate BIBI’s dual circle logomark into the fandoms logomark.
This decision was made in order to show the strong relationship between artist and fan.

1st album - Lowlife princess: noir
Overflowing with dark, seductive strength, Lowlife Princess: Noir tells the story of the singer’s struggle towards power and freedom.
BIBI’s vulnerability is showcased though heartbreak, societal expectations and loneliness. The album which is a fierce display of power, is filled with intriguing themes, seductive melodies and powerful rhythms.
